My approach is personal, integrative, and collaborative. This means I prioritize building an authentic relationship with each of my clients. From there, I utilize evidence-based approaches and a trauma-informed lens. I value working with people from all backgrounds and enjoy identifying what factors are important to my clients and would be meaningful to incorporate into therapy. I also have specialized training in the integration of faith and psychology for those who would like a faith-based perspective.
The evidence-based approaches I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy. I also integrate concepts from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I have received training in the Gottman Method and utilize this approach when working with couples. I work together with my clients to identify which treatment approach would be best for their specific situation.
